Music Placements To Love: No Doubt & 50 First Dates

When No Doubt’s Rock Steady came out, back in the day (December 2001), we fell in love with the sugariness of it. The band had totally gone pop and they did it shamelessly. Plus, they were the first pop act that went ‘80s’ on us.

“Underneath It All” was the first song we gravitated towards. A year later, so would a lot of other folk – it became a Top 40 #1,

In 2004, the musical supervisor for 50 First Dates used it in one of the sweetest scenes of the film. What a wonderful placement this was…created the perfect mood.
